Pronghorn House
This stunning single level home located on an estate lot in Pronghorn was designed for livability, accessibility, practicality, low maintenance, and everyday use.
Design criteria included all of the above plus the availability of a functional office with a golf course view, maximum privacy, (considering the location), outdoor connectivity, a chef’s kitchen plus ample space for family gatherings.
In addition, if feasible, a step free environment, more than an abundance of storage space, a three car garage with additional storage and work space, maximum view of the golf course and comfortable, relaxing interior décor that would be easy to maintain, even with kids and dogs.
Based on the design criteria, we choose the enhanced I.C.F. building system. Artisan’s enhanced version of I.C.F. takes the wall insulation value from R-21 to R-32 and further reduces sound transmission.
The home is situated on the site with deeper setbacks than usual and designed to create its own privacy for both the front and back outdoor entertainment areas. The garage access is a motor-court concept but is turned away from street view and designed to create a private play area when not in use for vehicles.
The great room area is visually connected to the outdoor spaces, both at the motor court and patio. The golf course view to the east is broad and open. The site is not prone to incoming errant balls from the course.
The interior evokes an aura of warm sophistication. Natural woods and stone coupled with warm colors and fabrics make the home inviting but with a sense of comfortable elegance.
The outdoor patio kitchen includes a natural gas grille and pizza oven, firepit and easy maintenance water feature.
Both patios and the motor court feature gray blend paving stones and the landscaping includes a combination of native and imported species.
